Leo Drell Owner / Founder Leo received his Masters of Electrical Engineering Degree in Kiev,
Ukraine. Before emigrating to the United States he worked on the
construction of the Kiev subway system, one of the largest and most
up to date in the world. In 1979 he came to the United States with his family. He became
the service manager at VTEK, a pioneer in the development of video
magnifiers for the visually impaired and products for the blind. In 1989 VTEK was acquired by another company out of the area,
and eventually all operations were relocated. At this point Leo
established Visual Aid Electronics in Van Nuys, California a suburb
of Los Angeles. At this location the company provided repair of a range of video
magnifiers for a number of companies around the country. In
addition the company provided and continues to provide pick up
and delivery service on new product sales and repairs in the south-
ern California area. We also can take care of repairs shipped to us
